EL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS: Wednesday October 30th & Thursday 31st | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Leavey Library Reflection Pool

A collaboration of the USC Libraries, Dornsife College Department of Latin American and Iberian Cultures, La CASA, Sigma Delta Alpha, Omega Phi Beta, & Spanish Undergraduate Student Association. Join us for this unique opportunity to learn more about El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), celebrated here in Los Angeles, the American Southwest, Mexico, Latin-America, and worldwide.

This year we have added collaboration with more student groups as they celebrate and share cultural traditions with the campus. We’ll also display student work fulfilling a cultural portfolio requirement using primary resources from the Posada Collection to create digital exhibits in Scalar (a multimodal publishing system created at USC). El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

MEXICO INNOVA’S DIA DE LOS MUERTOS: Wednesday October 30th | 6:00 p.m.  – 8:00 p.m. | KAP 145

Mexico Innova’s Dia de Los Muertos is an event where students will hear more about internship opportunities for summer 2020. There will be information presented about our new mentorship program and about the process of applying to graduate school. These activities will be held under the theme of the traditional Dia de Muertos. This is an important Mexican holiday that brings families, friends, and communities together by honoring our ancestors and bringing joy to our stay-away from home.

LATINO FLOOR ANNUAL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION (VOLUNTEERS NEEDED): Friday November 1st | 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | USC’s Fluor Tower

El Sol y La Luna Latinx Floor in Fluor Tower will be hosting its Annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration where we will be having students from local elementary schools participate in various activities. PRICE DIA DE LOS MUERTOS FESTIVAL: Friday November 1st | 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | RG: Courtyard

It is that time of the year again to celebrate the lives of the ones that have passed on. Join Price Latino for a small festival in Dia De Los Muertos Festival. We will have free fun and activities to celebrate the holiday. We will also place an altar in the lobby of RGL on October 30, 2019. Feel free to place any decorations.
